I was on a few panels at Ad Astra a few weekends back and was a bit taken aback when a fellow author espoused that books in the paranormal genre are 'dumbed down' and 'are crap' and 'feature terrible writers'. My wife…

I was born in '63 but there are songs from the fifties I really enjoy. Bill Haley (sic) and Buddy Holly come to mind.

Corey Haim dead at 38

It would be inconceivable to hear someone say that they didn't know who Corey Haim was especially if they were around in the 80s. Haim's popular films included Lucas and The Lost Boys. One of my personal favourites was Silver Bullet. What brought him fame in that decade eluded him as he got older. The boyish looks gone and never-ending drug use brought his career to a crashing halt.I watched in horror as he and Corey Feldman tried to revive their careers with the reality show The Two Coreys. It…See More

Late Night is a Hot Topic 1 Reply

We at Pop Cultured are as obsessed as everyone else seems to be over the late night talk show debacle. It's clear that the public is siding with Conan O'Brian but will that change anything? There are…Continue

The Twitter, The Web-Site, The Blip - Oh My!

How am I supposed to keep up? How am I supposed to keep everything straight in my head and figure everything out?

First there was MySpace. Now, MySpace is just plain difficult. It is! I can’t figure it out. I don’t know how to update. Someone set my MySpace up for me, but they’ve been gone (um, not in the ultimate sense, mind you, just not around the old cyber space any longer) and I don’t know how to do anything on it! I was very proud of my MySpace at one point because I… Continue
